The popular Unicorn restaurant on Dublin's Merrion Row will soon be back in business as it is set to reopen its doors this September.
The Italian restaurant, which was once one of Dublin's best-known restaurants, will open its doors under the expert guidance of famous restaurateur and chef Kristan Burness, with a 'fresh new look' and serving classic Italian cuisine.
The chef, who previously worked at the renowned restaurant nearly 10 years ago, is now working to create his ideal version of the Unicorn which will revive the much-loved terrace with convivial al fresco dining.

Kristan will take on the role of Head Chef, to ensure the highest standards, with the menu featuring his signature Wild Mushroom and Truffle Risotto, and Unicorn favourites such as Grilled Veal Cutlets, Salsa Verde and Parmesan Mash, accompanied by an extensive wine list and choice of cocktails.
Speaking about the reopening, Kristan said: 'It’s been a dream of mine, to finish what I started here a decade ago.'
'My other businesses are established and running smoothly, so when I was approached about the property, I couldn’t resist. There are challenging times ahead, but if it was easy, it wouldn’t be fun!'

And tucked away next to the Unicorn restaurant, the piano bar, In Vino Veritas is reopening too, serving tapas, wines and cocktails, against a background of lounge music and live piano at weekends - making it the perfect spot for date night.
In Vino Veritas is in a two-story townhouse and will open ‘til late from Wednesday to Sunday, with customers having the choice to sit inside or chill out in the charming courtyard.'
The Unicorn was established in a row of former stables in 1938 and under various owners and management hosted generations of loyal diners, attracted by its fine Italian cuisine, quirky charm, al fresco dining, and relaxed ambience.
We'll definitely be adding it to the list of spots to try in September!
