Bad news for those of us who depend on our coffee fix before a flight as a popular drinks spot has announced the temporary closure of its café in Dublin Airport's T2.
In a statement shared on Friday, Butlers Chocolate confirmed that its store in Dublin Airport Terminal 2 will close on the evening of Sunday, November 24 for refurbishment.
'A fabulous new café will be coming in 2025,' the café chain assured. 'During this time, we will open a temporary kiosk next to our existing café, which will open on Saturday, November 30.'

'Our T1 store will remain open as usual,' it continued. 'Thank you for your custom and we will see you again soon.' Thank God for Butlers Chocolate Café in T1, which only opened its doors in July.
It can seat around 100 people, so there is ample space for your relaxation post-security scramble. The café has new features including charging stations, a grab-and-go counter, and self-checkout options.

If you're not prepared to make the voyage between T2 and T1 just for your Butlers' fix, never fret as T2 plays host to plenty more cafés and restaurants.
There's a Starbucks, if you're looking for a jolt of caffeine to put a pep in your step, as well as a Burger King, Café Bar, Cloud Picker, Dubh, The Fallow and The Mezz.

Butlers' announcement comes just weeks after flyers were shocked by the closure of Boots in T1. What about our last-minute packing needs?!
